Thanks for visiting our site which is currently being updated! As of right now, we do not know what units will be available for next school year. We will be offering renewals to current residents beginning in early November and won’t know our unit availability until early December. We support that the City of Ann Arbor has changed the leasing timeline to better meet the need of tenants (good work GEO and CSG!). It is not legal for any landlord to be leasing for the 2025-26 school year yet. In the spirit of equity and fairness we DO NOT sign prospective residents to waitlists, ‘first right to lease’ agreements, or take holding deposits. We strongly feel that this practice, while common, is a violation of the spirit of the Early Lease Signing ordinance, speeds up the timeline, initiates the pressure on students, and benefits students with financial privilege. We encourage prospective residents to seek out landlords and management companies who are in full compliance with the letter and spirit of the ordinance. We will begin ‘showing’ units and signing leases as follows: • For May leases (apartments or houses with 3 – 9 people) – December 6, 2024. • For Fall leases (apartments with 3 people or less) – March 25, 2025. In order to increase equity in the leasing process, we will begin accepting email contact only five days prior to the date we can start showing. Please have only one person from your group email us at wessingerproperties@gmail.com starting December 1, 2024 (3-9 people) or March 20, 2025 (1-3 people) with interest. All showings must be scheduled with us, so for safety and privacy reasons, please do not knock on our tenants’ doors. We feel it is important to keep prospective residents informed and set reasonable expectations, so we share with you that while we would love to house everyone who is interested, demand is always high in Ann Arbor, so there is no guarantee of a unit even if you email first thing on the first contact day. Emailing aggressively prior to that will not increase your chances at securing a house. We will reach out to schedule showings in the weeks following the contact date. We hope to hear from you when we open contact. If you do not hear back from us, we apologize in advance, but it is likely because interest has already outpaced our supply. We wish you luck with your leasing process!
